“I am interested in how we mix housing with other uses to create new, productive pieces of our towns and our cities. Designs that are well-connected and well-integrated and are good additions to our urban fabric.”

Alina has extensive experience across a diverse range of typologies, scales and design stages in Architecture and Urban Design. Housing and urbanism are Alina’s specialities - formed during a decade of working for a close-knit team in London that specialises in mixed-tenure housing and regeneration projects. During this time, she advised various London Boroughs on how to provide family housing
on existing sites or those to be regenerated. She is enthusiastic about
applying this knowledge to her work here in Australia.

Alina is adept at working on large, public-realm projects and enjoys the collaboration and diversity this approach brings. Practiced at evaluating new models as they come into the housing space, she is focused on creating new, productive pieces of our towns and cities that include homes that are diverse, sustainable, flexible, affordable, and well-integrated into the urban fabric.

Since completing her Master of Architecture in 2009, Alina has worked on a range of projects across the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. She brings a broad perspective on housing typologies, urban challenges, emerging technologies, and policy. Alina has also been a researcher and educator at the Architectural Association and Bartlett School of Architecture in London and the University of Technology, Sydney. Notable projects from her time in London include Dockley Road, Bermondsey; High Road West, Tottenham; and Mayfield,
Manchester.
