Brisbane Domestic
Airport Upgrade
A focus on natural light, timber furniture and tropical planting conveys a casual elegance reflective of Brisbane's relaxed outdoor lifestyle.
Operating 24 hours, seven days a week and patronised by over 17 million passengers, the Domestic Terminal Building is Brisbane’s primary welcome mat for interstate guests. This project involves the revitalisation of the Southern Concourse Virgin food court into a welcoming dining and waiting area. A similar upgrade was later undertaken for the Qantas concourse.
The upgrade unlocked the qualities of the existing building, opening up the space to the arched skylights, colonnade, and departures hall below. A focus on natural light, timber furniture and tropical planting conveys a casual elegance reflective of Brisbane's relaxed outdoor lifestyle.
This project was an early realisation of part of the extensive master plan undertaken to redefine the whole retail and passenger offering within the Domestic Terminal Building.
It is also just one of many projects we have undertaken for Brisbane Airport Corporation on both the domestic and international terminals under an ongoing relationship agreement.
