Stokehouse
The challenge in designing Stokehouse Brisbane was to create a new space befitting one of Australia’s most highly acclaimed restaurants—and one of Brisbane’s most spectacular locations, right on the river’s edge at South Bank.
Bringing the very established—very Melbourne—Stokehouse brand and experience to Brisbane was an exciting and challenging task for Arkhefield.
While embodying the spirit of the original, Stokehouse Brisbane presents a uniquely Queensland experience with an unsurpassed level of detail and standard of finish. A sculptural spline wall traverses the space, embracing the restaurant and bar, which in turn embrace the river.
Distinctly different spaces unfold throughout the venue, affording a number of unique experiences and layering of atmospheres.
Stokehouse Brisbane is part of the multi award winning, Arkhefield designed River Quay precinct.
With Melbourne’s Stokehouse restaurant a St Kilda institution, any little sister offshoot elsewhere would always have to make her own mark … Brisbane’s new Stokehouse has a clear sense of identity and strong presence that enhances the brand, and indeed offers a fresh take on it.
